Water Rate Increase January 1st, 2023

Water customers will see newly adopted water rates reflected on their monthly bill(s) beginning January 1, 2023. After careful consideration, the city approved an 8% water rate increase. In addition to the increase, customers with multiple water connections will incur a $10 per unit monthly charge.

The city aims to ensure that our customers have an adequate water supply to meet their day-to-day needs and foster and encourage water conservation.  Our job is to keep your water flowing today and into the future. It is all part of our commitment to serving you and everyone in the community. The city has recently sustained an increase from our water provider, Burlington Municipal Waterworks. Adjustments to the water rate structure are necessary to keep the city fiscally sound and provide reliable service.
